Review of SanDisk Ultra 200GB Micro SD (SDSDQUAN-200G-G4A)

A few weeks ago, we posted this good deal of the Sandisk 200GB microSD card (USD 79.00) . Some readers and online forums were saying that the card will not be recognised or perhaps only work as a 128GB card. So, why pay so much for a 200GB microSD card when you can only use a portion of the storage space.

Well, that is untrue because it is tested and it is recognised on a Elephone P7000 smartphone by default. There are not tricks or rooting required. The card shows itself of having 183GB of storage space as shown in the screen shot above.

Anyway, the card works too on a microSD card reader and it gave the following results using CrystalDiskMark with a sequential read of 88MB/s and write of 15MB/s. The write speed is slow for the bigger storage, it is a trade off.

The card is still priced at USD 79.00 and can be bought here.

Even if it doesn’t work on your smartphone, it should work well with your Kingston card reader.
