At CES 2026, LLVision announced the U.S. launch of Leion Hey2, positioning it as the world’s first AI-powered professional AR translation glasses designed specifically for real-time, face-to-face communication.

Leion Hey2 supports more than 100 languages and dialects, delivering sub-500 ms translation latency in real-world use. Spoken language is converted into live subtitles displayed directly in the wearer’s field of view, allowing conversations to continue without phones, handheld devices, or visual disengagement. Battery life is rated at six to eight hours of continuous translation, with up to 96 hours of total use via the charging case.

“This is what translation really means to us,” said LLVision founder and CEO Dr. Wu Fei. “It’s not just about words. It’s about giving people the freedom to speak, to connect, and to be truly understood.”

Founded in 2014, LLVision focuses on AI- and AR-based solutions for multilingual communication, with more than a decade of development in real-world translation systems.

Translation-First Design

Unlike general-purpose smart glasses that treat translation as a secondary feature, Leion Hey2 is built around translation as its core function. Hardware architecture, interaction design, and display behavior are optimized for live conversation rather than media capture or entertainment.

The system maintains low latency to preserve conversational rhythm, tone, and timing—factors often disrupted by slower translation workflows.

Head-Up AR Display

Leion Hey2 uses a waveguide-based optical AR display powered by a micro-LED light engine. Subtitles appear directly in the user’s forward line of sight, preserving eye contact and conversational flow. The display is intentionally minimal, prioritizing readability while reducing visual distraction.

The always-visible subtitles also enable real-time captioning, supporting accessibility for Deaf and hard-of-hearing users without requiring separate devices.

Audio and Conversation Intelligence

For face-to-face conversations, Hey2’s Free Talk mode prioritizes voices within an approximately 60-degree forward range, suppressing side conversations and ambient noise.

A four-microphone array with 360-degree spatial detection identifies the active speaker before translation begins. Beamforming and neural noise reduction isolate speech in real time, maintaining clarity in meetings, group discussions, and public environments.

Optional AI Q&A

Beyond translation, Hey2 includes an optional AI Q&A feature for brief, contextual queries. Activated by pressing and holding the right touchpad, users can ask questions verbally and receive responses directly in view—without a phone or text input.

The feature is designed for intermittent use in environments such as museums, travel settings, or exhibitions, and is intentionally constrained to avoid competing with live conversation.

Hardware, Privacy, and Wearability

Weighing 49 grams, Leion Hey2 uses a magnesium-alloy frame, titanium nose pads, and a classic browline design. A stepless spring hinge adapts to different face shapes for extended wear.

The device includes no camera and no external speakers, reducing privacy concerns and making it suitable for professional, educational, and diplomatic settings. Audio input is used solely for translation.

All data processing follows GDPR-aligned privacy principles, supported by Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. Users can review, manage, or delete translation history at any time.

Real-World Validation

Leion Hey2 has been demonstrated in high-stakes environments, including the 2025 United Nations Accessibility for All Exhibition in Geneva. It has also been used in diplomatic forums and large-scale live trials, including a two-hour presentation delivered entirely through the glasses by LLVision’s CEO.

LLVision has served as an industry partner in accessibility research recognized by the AIS Impact Award 2025. The first-generation Leion Hey shipped more than 30,000 units globally, with users averaging 150 minutes of daily use, and was previously named a UNESCO Netexplo Innovation Award Top 10 honoree.

Following its global unveiling in Seoul, Hey2 reportedly generated more than 10,000 pre-orders in a single day.

Pricing and Availability

Leion Hey2 is now available in the United States through LLVision’s official online store at USD 549. From January 6 to January 31, customers can pre-order Leion Hey2 at USD 499, with pre-orders including a clip-on sunglass lens and 1,200 minutes of Pro translation service.
