The long awaited Android phone has finally arrived. Although it is a bit late, the Milestone comes with Android 2.1 pre-loaded. Exclusively brought in by Starhub, Singapore’s leading telco operator, it gives the Milestone a further boost with it’s mobile tv services.
With Android 2.1 Operating system running on a Cortex A8 550MHz processor, the Milestone offers better multitasking and performance. This is in turn enhanced with a world’s thinnest QWERTY sliders (13.7mm).and a high resolution 3.7” widescreen with multitouch capability. The display also as an incredible 854 pixel width and more than 400,000 total pixels.
The phone is preinstalled with a suite of Google applications which makes this phone an out of the box solution for those who uses Google services like Gmail, Youtube, Maps etc. Users can add more applications from the tons of free apps from the Android Market. The Milestone also has a 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, AutoFocus. Something unique about the Milestone is that it has the • Motorola Media Link and Motorola Phone Portal to manage and share media content across desktop, phone and the Web. You can now remotely view the contents of the images, contacts, SMS and managed them from your PC connected to the same Access Point.
With Starhub mobile TV, the Milestone is instantly turned into a mobile televsion using powered by SPB TV technology. The software client allows consumers to view 25 bramded tv channels for a small fee and FREE on certain day of the week.
