Gaming boards

At the event, we saw the Z87-G45 gaming motherboard on display. MSI also has a series of other gaming boards in the pipeline other than the Z87-GD65 and Z87-GD45.

It looks like the lower end chipset H87 and B85 will also be made as the centre of gaming boards as these chipsets do not differ too much in performance and functionalities compared to the more expensive Intel Z87 chipset.

Now with OC Genie 4, you can get a boost of 120% in performance by a press of the button on the motherboard.

There will also be audio boost for better Signal to noise ratio.

  1. The nice dark mat finish design looks great. Specifications sounds pretty good too, even the “Military Class” sounds like some warmongering maniac… But if the tests show that it is stable, robust platform, then why not? Looks pretty 🙂

However I never seen entierly black caps from any respectable brand, lol. Unless they painted them, I would be very suspicious about the Z87 XPOWER. The MPOWER MAX mobo is looking like to have a normal caps…
