I reviewed the vivo X300 Pro some months ago and was impressed by the photo and video quality. In fact, when the device is paired up with the telephoto extender, it turned it into a beast, being able to zoom in to 5400mm and 20x in video zoom. The stability was impressive as I tested it as a vlog, walking and filming at the same time. Here is a video that I shot demonstrating low light, video zoom, you can watch it on youtube. You can also read the review here.

At MWC 2026, vivo will launch it’s Ultra model. So, what are the differences between the two models?
The main difference would be the processor, main camera, larger screen, better battery and charging

From my own experience, the vivo x300 pro is already a beast. The main camera is still that 50MP Sony LYT-828 (1/1.28″) at around 24mm equivalent, f/1.57-ish, with CIPA 5.5-level stabilization that’s pro-grade for handheld shooting, even in low light or while moving. The X300 Ultra replaces it with a LYT-901 at 35mm.
To me, the difference isn’t that much for an upgrade. For those who are into videography, the X300 Ultra also comes with a 400mm telephoto extender, the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen2 Ultra and can be mounted in smallrig cage with LED and handle (as seen in the photo above.
I have experienced the power of X300 Pro and I feel that the X300 Ultra should be better in terms of optics, but it may not be a good time to purchase it as DRAM prices have shot up a lot. Perhaps, a X400 series would be something to look forward to.
