OPPO is slated to launch it’s latest foldable. In the past, foldables tend to have that ugly crease at the centre of the screen when unfolded. It looks ugly and looks more like a two seperate display. On first sight both Golden Orange and Original Titanium looks sleek.
With the Zero-Field Crease Technology, the Find N6 removed this display issue, resulting in a flat display. You won’t even feel the hinge when you swipe your fingers across the unfolded display.
This 8.12″ display is OLED and has a peak brightness of 2100 nits. The internal 6.62″ has a peak of 3600 nits. So, no more worries viewing your favourite streaming videos or even checking out real time quote on a bright sunny day.
When folder it is just 8.93mm when folded and a 4.21mm when unfolded. It’s size is just right to fit into the jacket.
The N6 comes with a powerful processor the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with 12 GB. It comes with large 6,000 mAh battery keeps the device running, supported by 80W wired SuperVOOC and 50W wireless charging.
Although foldable phones are usually target at professionals, the N6 did an upgrade to it’s camera system.
Main Sensor: A powerhouse 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
Ultrawide: A 50MP Samsung JN5 lens for expansive landscape shots.
Telephoto: A 50MP periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom and OIS for crisp close-ups. It can shoot up to 120X
Selfies: Dual 20MP front-facing cameras (one for each screen) ensure high-quality video calls and portraits regardless of how you hold the phone.
Other than that, it is packed with productivity tools. It has an AI-powered OPPO AI Pen for precise sketching and note-taking. It comes with Color OS 16, built on the Android 16 platform.
Oppo Find N6 finally got the first crease free foldable phone out in the market. My first thoughts is that, if I already have a foldable, will I buy the Find N6 ? The answer is Yes and No. If i wanted a flat surface, a tablet with 4G/5G connectivity is 1/4 of the price. It is just as slim but it is not as compact and doesn’t come with the camera system. If I already own a foldable and it still works, I might want to wait for the price to come down as there is bound to be competition.
If you do not already have a foldable phone and want something that is sleek and can take nice photos and videos, the Find N6 is worth buying and considering both as a productivity tool and a casual daily use driver.
