Native PCIe Gen2 Bandwidth
Different manufacturers design their board differently. Some cut corners while some give you the best performance. Gigabyte E350N-USB3 design with native bandwidth for both it’s SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0. The USB 3.0 using NEC USB 3.0 chipset runs from PCIe 2.0 x1 lane from the FCH and not from the 2 PCIe 1.0. This gives it maximum bandwidth to accomodate to USB 3.0 interface of 5Gbps. As for SATA 6Gbps, it is natively suppoted from it’s FCH. The FCH can also support up to 14 USB 2.0 ports.
