At Computex 2024, Qualcomm President and CEO, Cristiano Amon, unveiled a new category of PCs: Copilot+ PCs powered exclusively by Snapdragon® X Elite and Snapdragon® X Plus Platforms. These PCs are designed to redefine the personal computing experience, offering unprecedented speed, intelligence, and multi-day battery life.
The key differentiator lies in the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) within the Snapdragon X Series. By offloading AI workloads from the CPU and GPU to the NPU, Copilot+ PCs achieve superior performance and significant power savings. In fact, Qualcomm’s NPU delivers the highest performance per watt for laptops, outperforming M3 by up to 2.6X and Core Ultra 71 by up to 5.4X. Additionally, the Snapdragon X Elite CPU leads in Windows performance, boasting up to 51% faster CPU performance at ISO power while consuming 65% less power compared to competitor peak PC CPUs.
