SiSoft Sandra 2012 SP6 Benchmarks
SiSoft Sandra 2012 SP6 is used in the test for the memory performance, arithmetic, mutlimedia and transcoding capability of the APU.
The Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 is tested against the BIOSTAR HiFi A85X with the A10-5800K. The other reference benchmarks included are the ASRock A75 Extreme6 + A3850(Socket FM1), ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 and BIOSTAR TZ77XE4 using the Core i5 3570K processor.
We noticed that the CPU CLK by default on the Gigabyte is at 99.8MHz while the BIOSTAR is at 100.0MHz. This slight differences might impact the benchmarks.
In memory benchmarks, the Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 is able to get 15 GB/s which is slightly higher than the BIOSTAR HiFI A85X. Both FM2 memory performance is still lower than the Intel Z77.
In Arithemetic benchmark, the Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 is slightly slower than the BIOSTAR HiFi A85X. Could this be due to the slightly lower default clock speed ?
Likewise we find the multimedia results to be 116.66 MPixel/s, just less than 1MPixel/s lower. It is within our margin of error.
In Transcoding test, we noticed the similar pattern. The Gigabyte G2A85X-UP4 scores 2.36MB/s which is slightly behind the Biostar Hifi A85X. Compared to the Socket FM1 , the FM2 APU transcoding speed has improved by 5 times.
