Review of HTC One M9 Smartphone

Almost every quarter, we see new releases of smartphones by various brands, forgoing or a total overhaul of the design. HTC, the Taiwanese manufacturer of the One series smartphones does it differently.

Melting the best of both the One M7 and One M8, HTC One M9 looks stylish and unique among the players. It’s all metal body with polished edges are ergonomically tapered to fit your grip.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa core 64 bits processor running 4x2GHz + 4×1.5GHz, this speed demon makes multi apps run smoothly on it’s 5 inches Full HD display. It also has a 32GB ROM and 3GB of RAM and microSD expansion capability of up to 2TB.

To differetiate among the players, HTC One M9 features a 20 megapixel camera f/2.2 which also allows you to shoot 4K videos. It also has a front camera that is capable of doing 1080P video recording.

The HTC Eye allows you to create Split Captures, take voice selfies, apply Live Makeup and more. You can combine your photos and videos with your friends for footage from multiple points of view with the Zoe App.

The HTC One M9 comes with two speakers facing the front. The HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio creates a virtual 5.1 sound. The audio effect is pretty astonishing when you playback movies of Dolby demos off youtube. You have to experience it.

Other than the audio and visual enhancements, the HTC One M9 also makes your phone unique with it’s built in themes app. You can customise your own Home Screen with HTC Sense which detects location and behaviour whether you are at home or at work. You also get local information with HTC Blinkfeed for meal time suggestions, local events etc.

The HTC One M9 suppots NFC, BT 4.1, WIFI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, DLNA, HDMI MHL 3.0, CIR. It runs on 2G/3G worldwide networks and suppots 4G LTE FDD and TDD bands of 1,3,5,7,8,20,28 and TDD Bands 38,40,41.
