Singapore, 23 May 2012 – Fans of Asian dramas will soon have more reasons to cheer. VV Drama (StarHub TV Channel 855) – StarHub’s only dedicated 24-hour drama channel, is commemorating its 20th Anniversary this year with a slew of exciting programming events and activities as a way of rewarding and engaging its fans.

VV Drama, launched in 1992, aired mainly drama series from Hong Kong, China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Throughout its 20-year history, VV Drama has been an integral part of Singaporean TV households, constantly entertaining the local audience with its quality content screened round-the-clock.

VV Drama has always been synonymous to local fans of Hong Kong dramas as the one-stop for the latest TVB titles. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, VV Drama has sealed a special deal with TVB to air the highly-anticipated drama Tiger Cubs concurrently with Hong Kong, the first ever in the local TV scene! Premiering at 10pm on 24 June, Tiger Cubs stars Jessica Hester Hsuan and Joe Ma, and revolves around a group of elite officers from the Special Duties Unit of the Hong Kong police force. Each episode is centered on an individual criminal case based on true events.

In addition, VV Drama will be offering its loyal fans a trip down memory lane by showcasing some of the best drama series ever screened on the channel. The historic look back will kick off on 1 June with a series of Japanese Classics starring Takuya Kimura every Friday, at 10.30pm. To cater to consumers’ insatiable appetite for K-Dramas, VV Drama will introduce a new weeknight time-belt dedicated to screening top quality Korean dramas from 23 July, 7pm.
