Singtel, Starhub, M1, Viewquest and MyRepublic slashes prices in Fibre Broadband Price War at SITEX 2013
For Singapore readers who are thinking of jumping onto the Fibre Broadband bandwagon, SITEX 2013 and the Christmas period is the best time to sign up or renew existing contract plans with the various Retail service providers.
If you remember RSPs were all promoting 100Mbps, 150Mbps, 200Mbps plans. In fact, it is so competitive the entry speed is an average of 200Mbps. All plans below comes with a 24 mths contract.
M1
M1 has always been giving the better deals. On their brochure, we don’t see any 100Mbps plan. The basic plan is a 200Mbps plan at S$39/mth and it comes with a free 6 months subscription. The 300Mbps plan is priced at S$49/mth with 3 months of free subscription.
Effectively, you only pay S$29.25 for 24 months for the 200Mbps plan and S$36.75/mth for the 300Mbps plan.
The plans comes with Free Mobile broadband 1GB data, Home Fixed Line, Dual band Wireless Router, Free 3 mths Internet security subscription and FREE optical Network Terminal Activation.
MiBox is optional and is free for the first 12 months, after which it is S$8/mth.
