If you have bought a contract plan iPhone 11,11 Pro or 11 Pro Max, you can gauge the returns and see if it is worthwhile doing it by tying yourself with a 24 months contract.
For example, if you purchase a iPhone 11 64 GB from M1, total outlay would be S$770 + S$30 x 24mth = S$1490. If you were to flip and sell it off, you get cash of S$960. In another words, you are still effectively paying a total of S$530 for 24 months (S$1490-$960). That translates to S$22/mth for the data plan of 12 GB, 100 mins and 100 SMS. A similarly non contractual SIM only plan offers more than that at merely S$20 to S$25 per month. It doesn’t make sense if you were to take the phone at S$0 and pay $235 x 24 for the contract.
