Geekbench scores
From the scores, we can see that the Mediatek Dimensity 1300 performance is nearthe Samsung Galaxy S21 based on Exynos 2100. It is somewhat on par with a Snapdragon 865 or 870.

3DMark Wild Life
It is interesting to observe that the Dimensity 1200 still outperforms the Dimensity 1300.
From the results, we see that it is slightly faster than the Oppo Find X3, Xiaomi Black Shark 5, Vivo X60 Pro Snapdragon 870.

[nextpage title=”Photos Comparison between V25 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro”]
Both V25 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro takes excellent shots. The colours are cooler on the V25 Pro and the colours are less saturated.
As for night shots taken in almost total darkness, the V25 Pro had difficulty focusing. Images are noisier than the Pixel 7 Pro.
[nextpage title=”Videos Comparison between V25 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro”]
We tested the video recording on the rear and front camera.
The front camera is only capable of recording in 1080p/30fps. Compared to the Pixel 7 Pro, both exhibits the same issues. The camera is unable to handle sudden change in lighting. The videos ended up with sudden burst of light. In comparison, the colour composition on the V25 Pro looks more natural but details are lost.
As for the rear camera, image stabilisation is not supported at 4k/60fps on the V25 Pro. It is on by default on the Pixel 7 Pro.
Video shot in 4K/60 without stabilisation is a bit shaky but generally the details are maintained. With 4K/30 Stabilisation turn on, the video is very steady but we do see a bit of jitters.
In 1080p/60 fps with Stabilisation and 1080p/30 fps with Ultra Stabilisation turned on, both gave the best results. There are still jittering in the recording but the videos are not overexposed.

[nextpage title=”Conclusion”]
vivo V25 Pro is the first smartphone we reviewed and it powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 1300. This mid ranger is quite responsive and is on par with other mid range phones like the Oppo Reno8 Pro based on the Dimensity 1200 or Snapdragon 865. The vivo V25 Pro runs cooler than the phones powered by Qualcomm 8 Gen 1. Although it bears a higher number, 1300, it is slightly slower than phones powered by the Dimensity 1200 smartphone.
In terms of design, the vivo V25 Pro is pretty slim and carved out to shine with the backplate’s changing colour when it is exposed to UV light.
The main camera takes good pictures in dark environments but not in total darkness. The camera has difficulty focusing in dark environment. It will take up to 2 secs to take a shot. Day shots are generally impressive.
In HD video recording in 30 fps/60 fps, the stabilisation is impressive. Unfortunately, stabilisation modes are not supported in 4K mode. The Super Night Mode in video recording also brightens up the night video shoots.
As for 5G SA and NSA compatibility, this phone works works with Zero1 5G NSA network, It should work with other 5G SA networks too.
The 5G supports both 5G SA and NSA. The 4G 4×4 MIMO support for various LTE bands also boosted the internet speeds.
In Conclusion, I think V25 Pro is all rounded phone and is suitable for vlogging or photography in dim environments.
The vivo V25 Pro is priced at S$849 at Lazada.sg
