Conclusion

The v70 is one of the mid range phone that packs lots of features compared to other brands. Such feature set might not be functional if it is paired with a under performing processor. The vivo v70 powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is not the fastest processor in 2026 but it is definitely on par with a flag ship of yesteryear, having on par raw performance on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Paired with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0, launching apps and even video recording is without stuttering.

The vivo v70 does not come with a smaller screen than it’s competitors. Due to this reason, it is very handy to carry it in my hand. With that Aerospace-Grade Aluminum Alloy Frame and those impossibly thin 1.25 mm bezels. The IP68/IP69 rating; it’s built to survive 1.5-meter drops and even has a dedicated mode for underwater photography proves that vivo is determine to make it a all rounder even for the ruggard user.

The Camera system is pretty amazing and it can takeoptical 3x zoom and very good digital zoom of up to 100x. Thanks to AI UHD, digital zooms at 100x can be enhanced within the app to make it even better. Video recordings can be shot at optical 3x to digital 15x.

For the creators and concert-goers, the AI Stage Mode is a genuine game-changer, keeping performers crisp when most phones would just give you a grainy mess. The post-production tools are just as impressive; the AI Audio Noise Eraser lets you strip out annoying background chatter from your 4K 60 fps videos, while the Smart AI visual feature can literally change the season of your portrait shots. The only regret is the AI VISUAL function, it only works within the camera’s potrait mode. It took a while for me to find the option hidden in there.

For S$799, it is a price tag you have to pay for the ZEISS branding and other features. I think for this price tag, it is coming very close to mid high tier pricing. I would have expect the phone to at least support HDR10+ video recording and selectable frame rate like the vivo X200FE we reviewed last year. Unfortunately, the option is not available.
