After attending the launch event and having previously tested the X300 Pro, the new vivo X300 FE feels very familiar right from the start. It carries over much of what made the Pro model impressive, especially in terms of camera performance, but now in a lighter and more compact body that’s easier to live with day to day.

The ZEISS co-engineered camera system is still the main highlight. It’s versatile enough for everything from casual street shots to shooting at concerts, and the new Telephoto Extender Gen 2 adds a fun layer to it. Being able to zoom all the way up to 5400 mm equivalent is honestly quite wild, and while it’s not something you’ll use all the time, it does come in handy when you want to capture subjects that are really far away. Video wise it can go up to 10x zoom.

What stood out to me is how comfortable the phone feels. It’s slim, lightweight, and easy to hold, which makes a difference if you’re using it throughout the day. The design is clean and modern, and paired with OriginOS 6, the overall experience feels smooth and well thought out, especially with the added ecosystem features.

Performance-wise, it’s what you’d expect from a flagship. It’s fast, responsive, and the battery life looks solid despite the compact size. Overall, it feels like vivo took the X300 Pro, kept the parts that matter most, and refined them into something more practical without losing that flagship feel.

The smartphone will be priced at S$1099 and telephoto extender at S$299. (Pricing in Singapore dollars).
