Last week, Zero1 announced that it’s the first MVNO in Singapore to launch a 5G NSA plan (powered by SIngtel).

Today, we have a submission from a reader. He has subscribed to the Zero1 5G 60u plan. He shares with us his results.

The SIM card looks exactly like the the SIM you will get subscribing to it’s 4G plans. Unless it is a 5G SA plan, telcos will usually need you to switch to a 5G SA compatible SIM.

For our own GOMO test, we used network cell info and it was able to detect that Singtel 5G NSA. As for Zero1, it still shows LTE Zero1. It could be a bug with the software.

The handset used in the test is POCO X3 GT.

A test run of Speedtest uses almost 1 GB of data and here is the result. 870 Mbps down and 94.9 Mbps up.

Ping time at 7ms. The result is comparable to our Gomo 5G speedtest result.

Below is a screen shot that verifies that the SIM in indeed running on 5G NSA. The signal strength is also pretty good at -94 dBm at Sengkang.

Calls made will drop to 3G. VoLTE support is missing on the Zero1 plan. Gomo 5G supports VoLTE.

So, will you subscribe to GOMO or Zero1 both powered by Singtel 5G NSA network. Comment below.
