Review of ASUS P7H55-M Pro main board based on Intel H55 chipset for Clarkdale with Core i5 661

The ASUS P7H55-M Pro is a mATX mainboard. It supports the future 32nm LGA1156 Socket Clarkdale processor. It also supports the Intel Turbo Boost Technology. It has 4 DIMM slots expandable to 16GB. It supports memory of DDR3-1066/1333 and DDR3-2133 (via Overclock). The board has a fanless design, thus it is quiet. It also support ASUS EPU and 4+2 phase power design for power savings.

The board features a PCIe 2.0 X16 slot, a PCIe x1 and 2 PCI slots. For display, the board supports DVI-D, HDMI and D-SUB ports. On storage, it supports 6 SATAII (3Gbps) ports and the Jmicron JMB368 supports 1 ATA133/100 IDE for 2 IDE devices. There is also a GbE controller based on Realtek 8112L, 12 USB 2.0 ports(6 front, 6 back panel) and 8 ch audio using Realtek codec.

Other exclusive features on this board include TurboV, Turbo Key, GPU Boost to overclock the system. In addition, there is Express Gate for instant access to SKYPE or Internet without booting into Windows.

Other overclocking features on this board include adjustments to Vcore, VIMC, VDRAM BUS, VPCH, VCPU_PLL. 1MHz CPU CLK increment, ASUS (CPU parameter Recall for overclocking protection). Other ASUS EZ DIY feature include Q-DIMM, OC profile, CrashFree BIOS 3, EZ Flash2 MyLogo2 and a Multilanguage BIOS.
