few days ago, we reported that Windows 10 Upgrade gives an error “Something Happened” with no troubleshooting error codes of whatsoever. We made a check in the logs and saw something about not recognizing the footprint.
Well, it looks like we got it resolved. The reason is because the USB disk generated from the Microsoft website was created for Windows 10 Professional. We were running Windows 7 Home Premium. As Windows 7 Home Premium cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 Professional, this strange error will pop up.
