The new Nexus 7 (WIFI) will go on sale in Japan on the 28th August 2013. The newer version has a Full HD resolution instead of 800×1280. It is also thinner and longer in size and weighs 290g (LTE at 299g).

The processor is also upgraded to a Snapgradon S4 Pro @ 1.5GHz while the older model uses the tegra 3 1.3GHz.

Internal memory is now expanded to 2GB. It has a lower capacity builtin 3950mAh battery instead of the 4325mAh on the older model.

For those who require high speed mobile broadband, ASUS Nexus 7 will have an edition that support LTE in September.

LTE is a 4G wireless communications standard developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) that’s designed to provide up to 10x the speeds of 3G networks for mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, netbooks, notebooks and wireless hotspots.
