While there are plenty of choices for Intel p67 Express mainboards, ECS P67H2A is the only one we found to come powered by Hydra technology.

With Hydra, ECS P67H2-A allows you to save your investments by reusing your older graphics card to pair up with another chipset (NV or ATI) graphics card to increase total system’s graphical performance.

In our own lab tests with a Core i5 2500K processor, 3DMark Vantage (H) tests scored H9112 using just a plain ASUS RADEON HD 6850 graphics card. With an added on ASUS ENGTX460 TOP (NVIDIA GTX 460), the performance is boosted to H12790. That is a 40% boost in performance.

In 3DMark11, a single Radeon HD 6850 scores X1148. After pairing it up with the NVIDIA GTX 460, it scores X1829. That is a 60% increase in performance.

While we are in the midst of testing the motherboard, do stay tuned to OCWorkbench for our review of the board.
