Apple has unveiled its iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, featuring a strong and lightweight titanium design with contoured edges, a new Action button, powerful camera upgrades, and the A17 Pro chip for enhanced performance and gaming. The titanium design, aerospace-grade and lightweight, makes these models the lightest in the Pro lineup. The camera system includes a 48MP Main camera with improved image quality, Night mode, and Smart HDR, as well as a new 5x Telephoto camera exclusive to the Pro Max. The A17 Pro chip delivers superior gaming experiences and performance. The USB‑C connector offers fast speeds and enables new video formats.

The iPhones come in four stunning titanium finishes and are available for pre-order starting September 15, with availability on September 22. The new Action button replaces the ring/silent switch and offers various functionalities. A17 Pro is Apple’s industry-first 3-nanometer chip, boosting CPU and GPU performance, and enabling hardware-accelerated ray tracing for gaming.

The camera system, powered by A17 Pro, includes a 48MP Main camera, a 3x Telephoto camera, and a 5x Telephoto camera on the Pro Max. New features like depth information capture for portraits and adjustable focus points enhance photography. Night mode and Smart HDR have been improved, and there’s also support for 48MP HEIF images.

The iPhones feature USB 3 speeds and support Pro workflows with third-party apps. ProRes video recording is available, and they are the first smartphones to support ACES for color workflows. Spatial video recording will be added later.

Both models use USB‑C connectors for charging and data transfer, support USB 3 speeds, and include the second-generation Ultra Wideband chip for enhanced location tracking. They also support Wi-Fi 6E and Thread for Home app integrations.

The iPhones offer 5G support, MagSafe, improved audio quality, and eSIM with support from various carriers worldwide.

The iPhone 15 lineup includes safety features like Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite, with Roadside Assistance via satellite introduced for the U.S. market.

iOS 17 brings new features to the phones, including Contact Posters, Live Voicemail, improved Messages, NameDrop for contact sharing, and more.

The iPhones are designed with environmental considerations, using recycled materials and clean electricity. Apple is also introducing sustainable alternatives to leather for accessories. Over 99% of packaging is fiber-based.
