ASRock X79 Extreme7

ASRock X79 Extreme7 is the upsized version of the Extreme4. Instead of  3 PCIe slots, the board supports up to 5 PCIe slots and supports either 3 way SLI or 3 way CrossFire.  Similar to the X79 Extreme4, this board uses 2 oz copper pcb design for better coooling.

There are 6 DIMM slots which supports quad channel DDR3-2400(OC). Surrounding the socket are heatsink that cools the components.

The front connectors include 10 +1  SATA connectors, front USB 3.0 connector. Other on boad features include 1394a, USB 3.0 , XFast LAN, XFast USB, THX sound.

On the back of the mainboard, we can see the PS/2 keyboard & mouse connectors, S/PDIF optical and digital out, USB 3.0, eSATA, GbE and audio ports.

  1. I saw tripple channel of rams slot at each side, but marked 4 channels DDR3,so weird.
