ASUS Announces Designo MX27AQ

ASUS today announced the Designo MX27AQ, a WQHD monitor with embedded ICEpower^®, Bang & Olufsen technology for premium audio quality. This 27-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution WQHD display has 77% more screen area than similarly-sized Full HD displays, giving users the best possible audio-visual experience. The MX27AQ represents the new generation of ASUS Designo Series monitors, featuring an elegant iF Award-winning design with an edge-to-edge frameless panel, ultra-slim profile, and sundial-inspired base. MX27AQ features ASUS SonicMaster audio, incorporating ICEpower, Bang & Olufsen technology, as well as the AudioWizard function for immersive sound. ASUS Eye Care technology, with ASUS Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies, reduces instances of eye strain and other damaging effects for users who spend hours in front of a computer.

Lifelike WQHD visuals

Designo MX27AQ has a 27-inch 2560 x 1440 WQHD display which provides up to 25% sharper, detailed images and 77% more onscreen space than similarly-sized Full HD displays. MX27AQ features an advanced high performance in-plane switching (AH-IPS) panel that gives an impressive 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 100% sRGB color space for realistic visuals, as well as 178-degree wide viewing angles to eliminate color shift when viewed from extreme angles.

2015 iF Award-winning, ultra-slim frameless design

Designo MX27AQ recently picked up a 2015 iF Design Award and has an ultra-slim profile that measures just 1.25cm at its thinnest point – this space-saving design makes it ideal for any living or office space. It has an edge-to-edge frameless panel with a bezel thickness of just 0.1cm. This simple but elegant design is further accented by a sturdy metal stand with a sundial-inspired base

Powerful, immersive ICEpower, Bang & Olufsen technology-enhanced audio

Designo MX27AQ gives users truly immersive audio through a combination of advanced hardware and professional audio processing. MX27AQ features ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, incorporating ICEpower, Bang & Olufsen technology. SonicMaster refines every acoustic detail to deliver crystal-clear sound with richer, more distinct vocals and a wider frequency range. MX27AQ has an embedded ICEpower, Bang & Olufsen technology MobileSound 3 chip and ASUS SonicMaster technology to deliver incredible home theater-quality audio through its two built-in 3W stereo speakers.

MX27AQ also features the ASUS AudioWizard function, with four pre-set audio modes (Music, Movie, Gaming, User) to suit the task at hand; these can be accessed through an on-screen display (OSD) menu.

ASUS Eye Care Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technology

Designo MX27AQ features ASUS Eye Care technology, with TÜV Rheinland-certified Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies to reduce instances of eye strain and other damaging effects on the eye for users who spend long hours in front of a display. MX27AQ also comes with the ASUS Blue Light Filter to shield users from harmful blue light. These filter settings can be easily access through the new OSD menu.

Extensive connectivity

Designo MX27AQ gives users unrivaled compatibility with most multimedia devices, with a variety of video input options including DisplayPort 1.2, dual HDMI ports and a HDMI / MHL 2.0 port. The latter lets users view content stored in MHL-compatible devices on the MX27AQ, and simultaneously charges the mobile device when connected.
