Last Friday Canon launched a whopping 18 new products to usher into the new year. As speculated on the net, Canon unveiled it’s 50.6 megapixel camera at the launch event. There were other Canon IXUS and EOS cameras at the event.

The two flagship EOS cameras equipped with a 50.6-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor with dual DIGIC 6 image processors, the highest resolution in Canon’s extensive range of DSLR cameras to date. With Optical Low-Pass Filter cancellation (LPF), the EOS 5DSR captures incredibly detailed and sharp images, alternatively the EOS 5DS reduces the moiré effect using the optical LPF. This dynamic duo is well suited for users who take still landscape and studio photos, as well as commercial images for large-format printing.
