Android 14 has been released and is now accessible for the Pixel series of smartphones. If you’ve been curious about the quality of the new Android 14, our testing indicates that it offers improved temperature management on the Pixel 7 Pro compared to when it was running on Android 13.
The idle temperature has dropped to just 33 degrees Celsius from the previous range of 40 to 42 degrees Celsius under Android 13. This makes it noticeably cooler to the touch. We conducted benchmark tests using Geekbench 6 for both processor and graphics processing performance.
The temperature after completion of the benchmark test remains at around 40 degrees celsius. Previously, it shot up to 45 to 48 degrees Celsius.
