The about to be announced Intel Z68 chipset will finally boost some performance of your system if you have a spare SSD.
With Intel Smart Response Technology, you can now use the SSD connected to the SATA port as a form of cache. What it does is that it caches the HDD to boost up the HDD speed.
In some tests e.g. the PC MARK 05 HDD. A normal HDD will give you a score of around 6100+ for a WD 1TB SATA3 HDD. With the ISRT technology, it can boost it up to 28000 or a whopping 350% increase in performance.
Likewise boot up time of Windows 7 can be reduced from 35 secs to 28 secs, a 20% improvement.
