Jolla is an independent phone maker from Finland formed by a number of ex-Nokia staff. Its first Sailfish OS smartphone is a mid ranger with a low-resolution qHD (960 x 540) 4.5-inch display, LTE, an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of internal storage, and microSD support.
Below is a video of the phone
Jolla’s phone will be priced at €399 (roughly $535 including sales tax), which is slightly more than similar devices. As a Finnish company, it might draw support from home country users as an alternative. It will be carried by local carrier DNA. Will it be able to drive sales through national pride and offer this new OS as a good alternative to the crowded OS smartphones out there.
