After using the Mi Watch Lite for a few days, I find that most of the functionalities are there. Perhaps what i didn’t like is the squarish design of the watch which gives it a plastic toyish feel.

We did a accuracy check of the GPS. So far, it didn’t go off course. As for sleep monitoring, it seems to track that I was asleep when I am still awake at 12 midnight and i woke up slighly too early even though i slept till 8 am.

Although Mi Watch Lite has some exciting features, SpO2 measurement is missing. Sometimes, the screen is not too responsive to touch. The UI needs some work as it is quite confusing whether one should swipe left or right to exit to previous menu.

Compared to the Redmi Watch which has both an AI Assistant and NFC. The Mi Watch Lite doesn’t have a built-in assistant which is why there is no microphone. It also does not have NFC, so there is no support for contactless payment.

In general, the Mi Watch Lite is a nice alternative to the smart bands. If you are looking at an entry level watch that doesn’t break your piggy bank, the Mi Watch Lite is priced at SGD 89 and is now available at the official Xiaomi stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well as at all Authorized Mi Stores in Singapore.
