At the CES Live Keynote, Microsoft demonstrates future version of the WIndows Operating System running on SoC designs based on ARM architecture. Three machines were shown to run Microsoft Word and it can even print.

This is one step forward for Microsoft to make it’s platform not only on the X86 but also on the lower powered ARM architecture. The 3 SoC demonstrated are from Texas Instrument OMAP, QUalcomm Snapdragon and Nvidia Tegra2.
