Microsoft is bringing its next-generation Surface Pro and Surface Laptop to Singapore, now powered by the new Snapdragon X2 processors. The focus this time is clear: better performance, more flexibility, and stronger on-device AI capabilities. Whether you’re working, creating, or just getting through daily tasks, the new Surface lineup is designed to handle a mix of local and cloud-based workflows more seamlessly.
The 13-inch Surface Pro continues to lean into its strength as a flexible 2-in-1. It can switch easily between a tablet and a full laptop setup, depending on how you use it. Available in Platinum and Black, and running on either Snapdragon X2 Plus or X2 Elite, it offers up to 53% faster graphics performance over the previous version. There’s also an optional OLED display for richer colors and deeper contrast, along with battery life of up to 15.5 hours. For video calls, the upgraded 1440p ultrawide front camera with auto-framing keeps you centered naturally. Paired with the Flex Keyboard and Slim Pen, the overall experience feels more responsive, especially with the added haptic feedback.
On the laptop side, Microsoft is offering both 13.8-inch and 15-inch models aimed at users who need more sustained performance for multitasking, creative work, or even running AI models locally. Graphics performance is improved by up to 58%, and battery life stretches up to 20 hours on the smaller model and 19 hours on the larger one. Besides the usual Platinum and Black, there are also new color options—Jade (exclusive to Harvey Norman Singapore) and Dune (exclusive to Best Denki). The 15-inch version gets a sharper display upgrade to 262 PPI, and both models come with highly rated webcams and a large haptic touchpad that feels more precise in everyday use.
Both devices are built with hybrid AI in mind. With dedicated NPUs onboard, they can handle AI tasks directly on the device while still tapping into cloud power when needed. Microsoft is also bundling the Affinity creative suite, optimized to run well on Surface hardware.
Sustainability is still part of the story. The new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop use 100% recycled aluminum for their enclosures and meet ENERGY STAR standards, exceeding efficiency benchmarks by at least 50%.
For Singapore, early bird registration runs from 8 to 22 July 2026 through major retailers like Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Harvey Norman, as well as Microsoft’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee. Depending on the retailer, there are promotional gifts worth up to SGD400. Official sales start on 23 July 2026.
