It seems that Circles.Life, the MVNO operating on M1’s network, has introduced something quite interesting for its customers. In our recent test of the Circles.Life 5G SIM, we observed the 5G+ logo appearing intermittently.
If you remember, 4G+ means it is a 2 or 3 Carrier Agggreation. Thus 5G+ would mean two 5G SA carriers aggregated to form 5G+.
Upon checking the Network Diagnostics, we found that the network was utilizing n78 (100 MHz) along with the aggregated n1 band. To confirm our findings, we ensured that the 5G SA NR setting was enabled. So, it is 5G+ with N78+N1 in a 2 CA setup.
Below is a screen shot of the network cell and speedtest result. Speedwise, it is reasonably fast and with a good latency of 16 ms. There isn’t much speed improvement as the implementation might be at its test stage and may not be deployed everywhere.
