SiSoft Sandra Benchmarks
SiSoft memory benchmark is tested on both configurations in standard and overclocked environment. The two boards are overclocked at 1.25v at it’s respective clock ratio of 46x and 47x. Although we are running on the same memory modules set to XMP profile to run at DDR3-2400. It seems that the ECS Z87H3-A2X is slower in this test. It could be a BIOS issue which can be resolved. When we cross reference to ASUS, we attained only 24.73MB/s on the ASUS Z87-A but that was tested with a Core i7-4770 (non K).
In Arithmetic benchmark test, both boards scored were almost on par with the ECS Z87H3-A2X leading just by 2 points when it is overclocked at 4.7GHz.
In Multimedia, the major difference is during the overclocked speed on the ECS Z87H3-A2X board of 47X100 gave it a boost to 463Mpixel/s.
When we test out the multimedia transcode, we were quite surprised by the result. The ECS is leading by almost 3 MB/s. I think it all matters in the fine tuning of the BIOS.
