Futuremark TimeSpy benchmark

3DMark Time Spy is a DirectX 12 benchmark test for Windows 10 gaming PCs. This benchmark is more GPU bound and it gives a better indication of those pairing a mid to high end graphics card with a fast processor.

A look at the chart reveals that the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X beats the Intel core i7-8770k by a 2.5% lead. In fact, it is surprising the AMD Ryzen 5 2600X is just a few points higher than the Intel Core i7-8770K.

When we overclock the processors, we noticed a dip in performance. Looks like the temperature is throttling the speeds down to reduce heat. It is time to consider water cooling if you want to keep it under 80 deg Celsius.

The AMD Ryzen 7 2700X has a lead of 2.5% against the Intel Core i7-8770K.
