Futuremark 3DMark

Using the same graphics card, we tested the 3Dmark suite at the default.

Sky Diver is a DX11 test running at 1080P. 3DMark Time Spy is a DX12 benchmark test for Gaming PCs. It renders at 2560 x 1440.

At default speed, the Intel Core i7-8770K outperformed the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X by a fair bit. The difference is widen with the Core i7-8770K running overclocked at 5 GHz.

Time Spy shows that the result of both platforms perform equally well.

Fire Strike is a test on high performance gaming PCs. It renders at 4K UHD 3840 X 2160. It is the most demanding tests among the three.

We see another close call between the two platforms. The Intel Core i7-8770K has more potential for overclocking from 3.7 GHz base clk to 5.0 GHz gave it a better boost in performance than the AMD Ryzen 1800X.

  1. instead of using numbers and have a user need to click through all the pages one by one to search for the information they seek, try providing titles that explain what each section will be about. it just a hassle to click through and makes me leave the site to find the information elsewhere.
