SiSoft Sandra 2012 Disk Read and Write
SiSoft Read performance test results give an average score of 455.92MB/s in comparison to 379MB/s when connected via Thunderbolt. That is a difference of 20%.
From the numbers provided by SiSoft Sandra, the HyperX 3K SSD outperforms the the Corsair Force GT and OCZ VERTEX3. by almost 50MBps.
Drive connected using Thunderbolt adapter results in loss of performance.
SiSoft Sandra 2012 Write Performance
For write performance, something odd is happening here. Using SATA 6Gbps port, the drive only acheived 100MB/s for write. Thunderbolt connection gave it a 161.67 MB/s write speed.
If we were to examine by the benchmark results provided by SiSoft Sandra for write access, we can see that Corsair Force 3 SSD is not far ahead at 136.37MB/s. Perhaps a firmware might be able to fix this.
