Singtel launches latest Mobile Gaming platform WePlay

Singtel yesterday launched their mobile gaming platform WePlay in Singapore. WePlay differentiates itself from other platform as it integrates consumer recommendations tailored to gamer ‘s preference. It also has a social gaming feature that connects up like minded gamers and recommend games to one another. Gamers can also invite friends for playoffs, compare scores through Facebook.
WePlay is currently available to Singtel users running the Android mobile devices. It can be downloaded at Google Play (play.google.com). The library consists of addictive games like Candy Crush, Acorn Buster, Fruit Ninja and more. Unfortunately, WePlay is only available for phones with Android 4.0 and above with a Singtel subscription.
Mobile gamers can begin to play or purchase the games. Billing will be done through the user’s mobile subscription plan. Currently, Singtel WePlay is giving away 500 credits to the first 100,000 downloads and they are available from 14 Dec to 21 Dec 2013. Unredeemed play credits will expire on 28 Feb 2014. (100 play credits = S$1).
WePlay is currently available in Singapore and is expected to be available in Indonesia and regional markets in their native languages in 2014.
