StarHub Unveils New Online Streaming Service
StarHub Go to extend pay TV reach with added flexibility
Singapore, 12 August 2015 – StarHub, Singapore’s leading pay TV operator, has just announced the launch of a new online streaming service starting today. Named StarHub Go, the service offers a selection of the most popular StarHub TV content delivered on demand, over-the-top, and on any device, enabling customers to access their favourite programmes at their convenience.
Customers can choose to sign up to a basic StarHub Go subscription at $9.90, or upgrade to Go Premium and Go Sports at $19.90 and $24.90 respectively. At launch, StarHub Go customers can look forward to titles from content partners such as Discovery Networks, HBO, A+E Networks, Scripps Networks Interactive, Sony Pictures Television and TVB. All StarHub Post-paid customers including Mobile and Broadband customers, can enjoy the convenience of charging their StarHub Go Pack subscriptions to their existing monthly bills, while non-StarHub customers can pay for an unlimited access with a 30-day pass on StarHub Go via their credit cards.

Together with the three new Packs – Go Basic, Go Premium, Go Sports, viewers will be able to binge-watch on their favourite TV series, and catch their favourite sports and education programmes at their convenience.
Go Basic Pack
Featuring an exciting mix of entertainment, infotainment and kids programming across the English, Asian and ethnic genres, Go Basic offers viewers the very best in On Demand entertainment. At an affordable $9.90 (including GST) per month, the Pack proffers the finest dramas and comedies from HITS; adrenaline-pumping content from RTL CBS Entertainment and RTL CBS Extreme respectively; informative and lifestyle programming from Discovery Science, Animal Planet, TLC, and EVE; highly-popular Korean drama series from KBS World and Oh!K, thrilling video gaming programmes from Ginx TV, and even award-winning channel, BabyFirst. The perennial favourite AXN will also excite fans with first-run action, drama and reality shows when it joins the Pack in September.
Go Premium Pack
At $19.90 (including GST) per month, Go Premium offers a mix of the latest in Asian entertainment together with HBO and Cinemax Originals. This includes the hottest TV series and variety shows that premiere concurrently or very close to their release dates as their source countries such as Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan. At launch, customers can catch many sought-after titles from leading Asian broadcasters such as TVB’s crime thriller, The Fixer, CJ Media’s supernatural comedy, Oh My Ghost, and Sanlih Entertainment Television’s romantic drama, When I See You Again. TVB First On Demand—an On Demand Channel dedicated to showcasing the latest TVB dramas concurrently with their Hong Kong’s telecasts—will delight TVB fans in Singapore with highly-anticipated premiering titles.
Go Premium also includes HBO GO—HBO Asia’s over-the-top service—which entertains viewers with an ever-increasing catalogue of critically acclaimed HBO and Cinemax Original series, films, documentaries and specials. At launch, HBO GO offers over 300 hours of content, which will increase weekly to reach almost 1000 hours by end of 2015. Titles at launch include HBO’s wildly popular hit series Game of Thrones, Band of Brothers and The Newsroom.
Go Sports Pack
Home to sports on StarHub Go, the Go Sports Pack enables StarHub Post-paid customers access to top sporting events such as US Open, National Basketball Association games and Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour tournaments on StarHub’s stable of self-packaged sports channels, SuperSports 1, SuperSports 2, SuperSports 3 and SuperSports 4. Non-StarHub customers who want to be part of the action will be able to subscribe to Go Sports Pack by end August.
Come 19 August, football fans will also be able to catch top-drawer football action from the UEFA Champions League (UCL) and the UEFA Europa League (UEL) when they sign up for the Go Sports Pack. UCL and UEL matches will be broadcast ‘live’ on Eurosport HD (StarHub TV Channel 212) with simultaneous matches shown on Eurosport 360, which will be offered through the SuperSports channels. At just $24.90 (including GST) per month, these channels, together with the popular international sports channel Setanta Sports (Ch 217), form the Go Sports Pack. Setanta Sports is a dedicated rugby channel offering some of the best rugby competitions such as Super Rugby and National Rugby League.
StarHub Go customers can login through their Hub iD which they can sign up for free-of-charge. StarHub TV customers who used to view their content on-the-go through StarHub TV Anywhere can continue to catch their desired programmes via StarHub Go. Customers who sign up between 12 August to 30 September will be able to enjoy Go Basic at $0.99, and Go Premium and Go Sports Packs at $1.99 each per month for three months.
