ALERT: Samsung Users
TPG has noticed that a new firmware update for Samsung phones causes issues with our VoLTE service. An update was recently pushed by Samsung over the past 48 hrs and this update has resulted in the loss of VoLTE settings.
You may have noticed a corresponding loss of Voice services while your Data services continue to function normally.
We are actively engaging with Samsung for a resolution to this but in the meantime, here are two workarounds:
- Go to Settings – Connections – Mobile Networks – Access Point Names
- Tap on “Add”
- Name: ims
- APN: ims
- (Scroll down to “APN Type” which may show “default”)
- APN Type: ims
- Wait for about 1 min.
- Go back to Settings – Connections – Mobile Networks
- You should now have an option to turn VoLTE back on.
