Whoa, time flies, months ago, I reviewed the X300 Pro and was impressed by it’s video stablisation and zoom images and videos with the extender. This time round what is X300 Ultra has to offer ?

The star of the show is the ZEISS Master Lenses Collection. You get three proper prime lenses built in: 85 mm, 35 mm, and 14 mm. Then you can clip on the new telephoto extenders for even crazier reach.

What surprised me most is how usable the 85 mm APO telephoto is. It is able to capture with accuraty with kid running around, pets, even a bit of street action with the gimbal-level stabilisation actually works. Shots stay sharp and steady even when I’m walking. The detail at 200 MP is ridiculous.

The 35 mm shots are so natural, and the Sony sensor handles low light way better than I expected. Skin tones and colours just look right.

The 14 mm ultra-wide is also a big upgrade. It doesn’t have that weird stretched look you usually get, and it keeps up with the main cameras in quality.

I tried the new 400 mm extender too — it’s impressive how far and clear you can shoot now. The 200 mm one is noticeably lighter than the old version, which makes it actually practical to carry around.

Colour Science That Finally Makes Sense

vivo’s new colour system is a game changer for me. Instead of the usual oversaturated “phone look,” the colours feel more refined and film-like. The new multispectral sensor actually reads the light better, so white balance and skin tones are more accurate.

I’ve been playing with the professional colour styles and the Color Palette. Being able to save and share custom presets with one tap is surprisingly useful.

Video That Feels Cinematic

The video side is where this phone really shines for creators. All rear cameras can do 4K 120 fps in Log and Dolby Vision. With some colour grading, you can upload to youtube in 4K HDR.

The new Pro Video Mode gives you proper manual controls like a real cinema camera. I also love that you can load custom 3D LUTs for live preview while shooting in Log.

Even the audio is taken seriously now. The Quad-Mic system with smart presets actually picks up my voice clearly while killing background noise.

Everyday Experience

Performance is buttery smooth thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and vivo’s imaging chip. The big 6600 mAh battery easily lasts me a full day of heavy camera use, and 100W charging is a lifesaver.

The design feels premium too. I personally like the Volcano Black version — it has this nice camera-inspired look with the metal biscuit module and knurled texture. It feels solid but not too heavy at 232g.

OriginOS 6 is also much cleaner and smarter now, especially with cross-device features.
