Xiaomi is poised to introduce its highly-anticipated Xiaomi 14 series of flagship smartphones in China later this month, succeeding the Xiaomi 13 lineup from the previous year. In preparation for this launch, a poster of the standard Xiaomi 14, complete with its detailed specifications, has surfaced on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo.
The leaked poster showcases the Xiaomi 14, featuring a substantial square camera module housing three Leica-branded sensors. This camera setup includes a 50MP OV50H primary lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens.
The Xiaomi 14 is rumored to sport a 6.44-inch C8 OLED 12-bit display with an impressive 1.5K resolution. Notably, it offers a high 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,800 nits, support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and boasts dual-stereo speakers. It also comes with an IP68-certified body and includes an IR Blaster.
Beneath the surface, the leaked information reveals that the Xiaomi 14 will be powered by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, complemented by LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4 storage. To manage thermal performance, the device incorporates a robust VC liquid cooling system.
In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 14 is expected to house a 4,600mAh unit, supporting fast charging with 90W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging capabilities. This comprehensive feature set underscores Xiaomi’s commitment to delivering a cutting-edge flagship smartphone with advanced imaging capabilities and high-performance specifications.
The Xiaomi 14 series will launch with Hyper OS instead of MIUI.
There are rumors circulating that the release is scheduled for October 27, 2023, with pre-orders available. The official release date for in-store availability is October 31, 2023.
