Xiaomi just launched the Xiaomi 15 Pro at a press conference in China. The Xiaomi 15 comes with the newly launched Snapdragon 8 Elite which now outperforms the Apple’s A18 Pro. This is definitely a big performance boost compared to Xiaomi 14 that we reviewed some time ago.

CPU Performance

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite: Features an octa-core (2+6) setup with 2 high-performance Oryon cores clocked at 4.32GHz and 6 efficiency cores. It has a larger L2 cache of 24MB.
  • Apple A18 Pro: Has a hexa-core (2+4) configuration with 2 high-performance cores clocked at 4.05GHz and 4 efficiency cores. It has a combined 20MB L2 cache

GPU Performance

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite: Equipped with the Adreno 830 GPU, it outperforms the Apple 6-core GPU in GPU benchmarks.
  • Apple A18 Pro: While its GPU is powerful, it doesn’t quite match the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s Adreno 830

Benchmark Scores

  • Geekbench 6 Single-Core: A18 Pro scores around 3,484 while Snapdragon 8 Elite scores 3,234.
  • Geekbench 6 Multi-Core: Snapdragon 8 Elite scores 10,059 compared to A18 Pro’s 8,568

Other than performance, the Xiaomi 15 Pro comes with a 2K HDR display support Dolby Vision. The battery is a 6100mAh with 90W quickcharge and 50W wireless charge. The screen is more 16 times more robust compared to previous generation.

As usual, it partners with Leica for it’s cameras and Summilux for it’s lens. The smartphone comes with 3 x 50 MP cameras. The camera can record up to 8K/30 fps and Ultra zoom of 120mm
