Conclusion
The DJI Osmo Action 6 is not just an upgrade — it is a new way of thinking about action cameras. The large 1/1.1-inch sensor helps the camera take very bright and clear photos and videos, even in low light. SuperNight mode also reduces noise, so dark scenes look much cleaner. The variable aperture gives you more control, and the camera is still very easy to use, especially with the Mimo app.
In low light, you may still see some small jitters when shooting video. The Pocket 3 can give smoother video, but it is more fragile and not as tough as the Action 6. The Action 6 is water-resistant, can be used for water sports, and is much easier to mount on bicycles, cars, and other setups.
If you need a strong all-rounder with great slow motion, good image quality, and a tough body, the Action 6 is one of the best action cameras you can buy today. But if you already own the Action 5 and you don’t need better low-light performance, you can simply continue using your Action 5 — it is still a very capable camera.
