A netizen has posted on a Singapore forum that he received a legal letter from asking him to pay damages and costs for the illegal download of the movie “Dallas Buyers Club”. It seemed that the same tactic had been used in Australia and America before. Consumers of the telcos were sent legal letters demanding they pay up for illegally downloading. Those who did not pay up were taken to court for copyright infringement.
