Configuring the Huawei RG256
After entering the login screen via http://192.168.1.1, you can now proceed to the sub menus from the left column.
First of all, please verify that the software version if Version 023. This can be found from reading the last 3 digits of the string of numbers on the DEVICE INFORMATION page.
Under the NAT tab, disable ALG for L2TP, H.323, SIP, IPSec, RTSP, PPTP unless you require.
Also disable IGMP Snopping and IGMP proxy.
Next, disable QoS.
Disable SNTP for sync system time.
Disable uPNP if you do not require it to auto open ports.
Now once that is done. It is time to check out the options on your PC’s Network controller.
