IO Meter Results
Iometer is an I/O subsystem measurement and characterization tool for single and clustered systems. It is used as a benchmark and troubleshooting tool and is easily configured to replicate the behaviour of many popular applications. One commonly quoted measurement provided by the tool is IOPS.
As there aren’t much documentation on how to configure this tool, results varies from tester to tester. In our case, we select the 4K read 100% test for access specifications. As for the disk targets, we used 64 outstanding I/O. The same results were obtained for read and also for write. It averages around 50,000 IOPs. (total I/O per sec). Our Kingston SSD scored 18,856 IOPS.
