Atom based Android tablet goes on sale in Japan
We have heard of Android tablets powered by ARM whereas Atom based are usually found on Windows based tablets.
RedFox Technologies, a Phlippines company has a product that will change just that, putting Atom at the centrestage.
The RedFox Wizpad (2 models with different ram) 16GB/32GB are both powered by Atom N455 clocked at 1.66GHz running on Intel NM10 chipset. It has 1GB of DDR3 memory, resolution is 1024×600 on a 10″ screen. It has wireless lan 802.11b/g/n, 3G SIm card slot , 1.3 megapixel camera, 2 USB, 1 microSD card, mini VGA port for external display. It weighs 850g, size is 275x170x14.5mm. Battery can last for 4 hrs. The OS is android 1.6.
