It looks like the 5G price war is about to ignite. With M1 entry price of around S$25, Starhub lowered their 5G entry price to S$28/mth with 60 GB of data, 1000 minutes and 1000 SMS. On top of that, it is throwing in 12 mths of Disney+ and an extra 10 GB for 12 months.
If we were to factor in the $11.98/mth subscription of Disney+, this plan is effectively around $16/mth. Unforunately, the plan doesn’t come with free caller ID. You will have to add S$5/mth for caller ID. Effectively, you will be paying S$33.35/mth.
Although it is not written explicitly, this $10 discount seems to be for the first 6 mths (normal price is S$38/mth)
M1 which shares the same infrastructure with Starhub also has a similar price plan for it’s 60 GB Bespoke plan. It doesn’t come with any OTT programmes.
The 5G add on is offered at a discounted rate for first 3 and 6 mths. Subscription price will be $30.95/mth and there is no 12 mths contract tied to it.
Here is the breakdown
Singtel’s 5G SIM ONLY plan also comes with 12 mths contract. It doesn’t come with any TV programme bundle. Pricing structure is simple enough. There is no 3 mths ,6 mths discount and or caller ID needs to be charged seperately. Singtel do throw in a $100 phone voucher which you can use it to offset your phone purchase.
