WiFi Connection issues plagued ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE smartphone
Although the ASUS ZenFone 5 was launched in Taiwan for a month or so, users have reported WiFi connectivity issues in their support forums.
A couple of users are experiencing strange issues when connecting to their Access Point at home or work. One said that as long you are within 4 metres from the access point, you are fine. Signal and speed drops beyond that.
They also discovered that hotspot issue suffers from drop connections as well. One said that his notebook must be placed very near to the phone when it’s hotspot is enabled for data sharing.
Another user complained that his data connection to a game server gets disconnected intermittently.
Some claimed to have exchanged for a new set and updated the latest firmware but the problem persists.
Could it be a bug for a particular batch of ZenFone 5 LTE or be fixed by software ? We would like to hear from you about your experience with the phone.
