According to our sources from Taiwan, a famous motherboard manufacturer will begin retrenching staff soon. This comes at a time when there is so much uncertainty of the global economy and a declining demand of DIY components.
Non managerial staff who has been with the company for over 10 years will be first to be retrenched or regrouped for other jobs. It is unknown which departments will be first to be axed but it is definitely not a very positive sign for the manufacturing and engineering staffs.
It maybe a rumour but it is definitely not a good sign of things to come.
